Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 9, 2026

1. Who This Applies To

LawyerServed does not charge clients searching for or contacting a lawyer — that use of the Service is free. This policy applies to paid subscription plans purchased by lawyers and paralegals (currently Basic, Pro Plus, and Enterprise Pro Plus).

2. Monthly Subscriptions

Our subscription plans are currently billed monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that. Consistent with our Terms of Service §5, we do not provide refunds for the unused portion of a billing period you have already been charged for.

3. Free Trial Periods

If the plan you select shows a free trial period at checkout (currently 14 days, where offered), you will not be charged until that trial ends. You may cancel at any point during the trial to avoid being charged. Not every plan currently offers a trial — the checkout page will always show you whether a trial applies before you subscribe.

4. Annual Subscriptions

Annual billing is not currently offered on our Basic, Pro Plus, or Enterprise Pro Plus plans — these are monthly-only today. If we introduce annual billing for a plan in the future, subscribers on that plan will be entitled to a prorated refund of the unused portion if they cancel within 30 days of the annual charge.

5. Enterprise (More Than 5 Lawyers)

Firms with more than 5 lawyers are billed under a custom, negotiated order rather than self-serve checkout. Refund terms for those accounts are governed by the signed order form, not by this default policy.

6. Billing Errors

If you believe you were charged in error — for example, charged after a cancellation was already processed, or charged twice for the same billing period — contact us and we will investigate and correct any genuine error, which may include a refund.

7. How to Request Something Under This Policy

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or use the billing portal linked from your dashboard, to cancel a subscription or ask about a charge.

8. Changes to This Policy

LawyerServed may update this Refund Policy as our billing changes. We will revise the effective date above when we do.
